Aquired Brain Injury
Sheila Reinoso, LPC, ACS has 3 years of work experience providing care to individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI) from mild to severe in a residential facility setting. Traumatic Brain Injuries too often come with a feeling of loss of Independence that goes unaddressed. There is a list of priorities that are generated by family members, caregivers, and health care proxy; and mental health needs of the individual with the acquired brain injury can fall towards the bottom of that list. Sexual Violence is an all encompassing term that is used to refer to the following types of acts such as: sexual assault, child sexual abuse, intimate partner sexual violence, incest, sexual assault of men and boys, and drug-facilitated sexual assault.
