How would you describe your therapeutic style in three words?
-
Compassionate: Coming to therapy isn't always easy and it takes courage! Everyone deserves a therapist that provides understanding and treats them with respect.
-
Collaborative: I believe clients are the experts of their lives. I work to understand clients' values, goals and approaches that work for them. I ask for honest feedback about what is working and what we could do differently.
-
Evidence Based: I always consult research and trusted experience of others of what makes true, long-lasting change. I believe all clients deserve treatment that works.
What do you enjoy most about being a therapist?
It is a privilege to walk with clients through a challenging aspect of their lives. I love to see people achieve their goals and know how hard they've worked to get there.
Share a little about your personal interests or hobbies outside of therapy, and how they might inform your work with clients.
I enjoy hiking with my dog, reading, yoga and crafting. This informs my work with clients because I believe in taking care of our health in a holistic way - including emotional, physical, social, and spiritual.
What is your comfort movie/TV show that you can watch over and over again?
Disney movies!
“When we have the courage to walk into our story and own it, we get to write the ending.”
