How do you collaborate with clients to set goals and measure progress in therapy?
I strongly believe that for therapy to be effective clients input in the process is very important. Clients have an active role in creating treatment plans, voicing their needs, and requesting changes throughout the sessions. By completing assessments, clients' self-report, and observations we can measure progress in therapy.
What do you find most rewarding about being a therapist?
The most rewarding aspect about being a therapist is to serve as a guide for others to heal while engaging in personal growth. I love that everyone involved in the therapeutic relationship benefits from the interaction.
What is your go to self care or grounding routine?
For self-care and grounding routines, I rely on creative outlets. I have always made art using different materials such as graphite, paint, pastels, etc. Lately, I have been engaging in physical forms of self-expression such as dancing and yoga.
What is your favorite Ice Cream flavor or dessert?
I love sweets so anything sweet is always a great treat. However, you can never go wrong with tres leches or flan.
